About KALANIKETAN POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE, JABALPUR

Kalaniketan Polytechnic College, Jabalpur is one of the pioneering polytechnic institutions of Madhya Pradesh established in 1984.

It is affliated to Rajeev Gandhi Prodhyogiki Vishwavidhyalaya and it is approved by AICTE.

It is running several Diploma and Certificate courses according to the contemporary needs of Industries.


With the vision to develop technical Skill and education, this Polytechnic was established by M.P. Government in the year 1955.

Afterwards, in 1993, The Kalaniketan Technical School was merged in the institution and it was christened as Kalaniketan Polytechnic.

It was declared autonomous in 1997 and later in 2002,"College" was added to its name.Since its inception, the college has been excelling in academic performance.

The students are placed in prestigioous Government and Private organizations.


The Diploma in Engineering in Information Technology Program is designed to create proficient engineers who are ready to contribute to the expansion and utilization of Information Technology in all spheres of society.


PEO 1: To produce pass-outs who would have developed a background in basic science and mathematics and ability to apply in the field of Information Technology.

PEO 2: To produce pass-outs who have the ability to demonstrate professional competence in the field of Information Technology.


PEO 3: To produce pass-outs who would to demonstrate the ability of life-long learning through advanced degrees, ion job experience, entrepreneurship, and other professional avenues.

PEO 4: To produce pass-outs who function effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment individually or in a team in the social, global and environmental context.

Program Outcomes: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
1. Basic Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering principles to solve broadly defined electronics and communication engineering problem.

2. Discipline Knowledge: Identify, formulate, and solve broadly defined electronics and communication engineering-related problems by applying basic principles.

3. Experiments and practice: Plan, perform and practice wide-range of electronics and communication engineering problems and to use the results to solve problems.

4. Engineering Tools: Ability to identify and select modern tools such as simulators, virtual labs, etc. to analyze and validate the solutions.

5. The Engineer and Society: Demonstrate the knowledge by practice in Electronics & communication engineering with due concern to society with respect to health, safety, legal and cultural issues.

6. Environment and sustainability: Develop standards, specification, cost effective products and operations in accordance with the law/standards and with a greater emphasis on environmental issues and sustainability.

7. Ethics: Inculcate and practice ethical responsibilities and norms of engineering practice.

8. Individual and team work: Involve in teams to apply and analyze the need for improve skills acquired among the team members to achieve the goals. Ability to lead project team by incorporating appropriate economic and business models for the success of the project tasks.

9. Communications: Ability to communicate effectively with written, oral, and visual means in a technical environment.

10. Life-long Learning: Recognize the need for and an ability engage in life- long learning for updating themselves for changes in world of technology.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM STUDENT ARE:


PSO1: The Diploma engineer shall be competent to design, develop, and deploy software according to requirement of society and industry.


PSO2: The Diploma engineer shall be able to apply technical skills to provide practical solutions to problems in various areas of IT.


PSO3: The Diploma engineer shall demonstrate edge over other due to their strengths in variety of soft skills.

There is something wonderful in the beauty of Nature. We are the most privileged ones to have a rich flora and fauna in our campus.

We are bestowed with over hundred big trees; some may be above hundred years. Mango, Neem, Bel, Sindoor, Palm, Eucalyptus, Ashok, Tamarind, Semal, Gulmohar, Amla are there to name a few.

We have lush green gardens in front of the main building which are lovingly taken care of by dedicated staff.

Our campus is home to a variety of birds; Koel, parrot, humming bird, kaukal, Dhanesh, piegons, owl, mayna, dayal, ghosia and many more.

Plantation is a regular activity taken during every monsoon. We feel proud to be a part of such college.
